What Our Patients Say

“Thank you for giving me back my healthy life free of pain. After 3 months of different doctors and no relief of pain, I finally found you and your staff. You, your office staff, and the nursing staff at Candler made my operation a successful and positive experience.”     C.M.

“I want to thank you for all of your attention and help last year when I was experiencing problems with infertility. Our daughter is proof that you all really do make dreams come true. I especially want to tell you that your prompt action in diagnosing me with endometriosis and removing it made my pregnancy possible. Not knowing what was wrong was one of the most difficult experiences I have ever had, but you and your staff were so reassuring and positive that it truly eased my concerns.”      L.W.

“I wanted to thank you for being so patient, so gracious and understanding during my many visits to your office, and surgery. God has truly blessed you with an intelligent mind, skillful hands and a loving heart. For that I thank him for using them to aid and heal others in need.”  R.M.

“For almost two years I suffered with severe bleeding and pain from my periods. I consulted with several different doctors about my low back pain only to be told many women complain but there was no medical reason why it happens. You explained it to me, which made me feel much better to know that I was not just a complainer. I have never been to a doctor where every staff member cared about you as a person and any problems you were having either medically or with your insurance. Thank you for caring about me and helping me to feel like a new person.”      L.K.

“I had seen 10 physicians, yes 10, before I came to you for treatment of pelvic pain and endometriosis. You have given me my life back – and without a hysterectomy as several physicians had suggested. Thank you for your compassion and skills as a physician.”     S.T.

You and your staff are awesome.”     E.B.

“I am sending a great big thank you for the care that you and your office gang gave to me during and after my surgery. You all are great and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have already given the Lord praise and I thought you needed to know how much I appreciate everything. After 6 doctors and years of feeling like I was only half a woman, I feel as if I have truly been blessed. I am grateful for your help because it seemed that none of the others knew what was wrong. Thanks again.  V.M.A.

“Thank you for your professionalism and kindness. Your competency in the field of endometriosis and efficient and friendly office staff have made my experience easier to understand, manage, explain to others, and cope with. In short, y’all rock!     N.&K.L.

“I have been in pain for four long years, have seen many doctors, and have had several surgeries. Thank you for my ‘miracle.’ My pain is gone!  L.S.

I was 28 years old and had been trying to get pregnant for 18 months, when a routine annual exam found an abnormal growth in my recto-vaginal septum.  The biopsy of the mass showed endometrial tissue growing outside the uterus and it was recommended by my gynecologist that I have laparoscopy surgery. After a second opinion, I was referred to Dr. Biggerstaff by a world-renowned pioneer of laparoscopic surgery in Tennessee.

Dr. Biggerstaff performed a four-hour laparoscopic surgery that resulted in a diagnosis of Stage IV Endometriosis.  He explained the surgery in great depth and felt confident that he had managed to excise and remove all traces of the disease.  When we discussed my medical and menstrual history, Dr. B pointed out that I had probably suffered from endometriosis since my teenage years and that being on the contraceptive pill had helped suppress it.  The care, the advice, the support and the expertise that Dr. Biggerstaff and his staff provided, were absolutely phenomenal and still are.  It has been six years since my diagnosis and I still see Dr. Biggerstaff regularly - he is and always will be my gynae of choice, no matter where I live.

My husband and I think of Dr. Biggerstaff and his team of nurses and assistants as the "Silver Lining" on our "dark cloud of infertility" - with their help and guidance we are now the proud parents of four year old twins.

Thank you Dr. B for helping make our dream come true!     M.S.
